Construction Works during 2009

THIS WEEK`S PLANNED WORKS

Week Commencing 27th July
Work will continue this week from the jack-up platform, working on the underwater section of the launch slipway.
Work continues this week on construction of the recovery slipway.
The handrails and infill panels are being installed on the launch slipway.
Work has now also commenced on the electrical modifications within the lifeboat house.


29th July

The images show the progress with both slipways to date.
Above, the launching slipway is nearing completion with handrails in place and flowforge gratings being installed.
Underwater work on the lower end of the concrete toe continues from the jack-up platform with currently another five pre-cast sections left to instal.

The recovery slipway (right) has the majority of the steelwork now in place with the concrete toe nearly complete.
