Relief Tamar Class Lifeboat 16-01 visits Sennen
Cove - April 2005 |
It is planned to place this class of lifeboat on Station at Sennen
Cove in the next few years.
A major appeal by the City of London Branch of the R.N.L.I. is currently
under way to raise £1M towards the cost of the lifeboat planned
for Sennen Cove.
This visit, on Monday 25th April, was to investigate the characteristics
of the lifeboat for recovery onto both slipways at Sennen Cove
Whilst it proved to be a beautiful, calm day - this was not really
ideal for the trials and some of our normal Atlantic swell would have,
for once, been welcome !
